I purchased this air vent holder several months ago, and when I received it, I noticed that I had to pay for more parts that I actually needed. Using the whole unit did not hold my GPS in a good viewing position for driving, but worked okay for a short time. While drive along my GPS and vent holder fell off from the air vent. It thought that maybe the whole holder was too heavy so I slide the GPS onto the part that connect to the air vent--the larger part is not required. It worked even better (I thought) but only for a short time, and then, as I attempt to mount it to the air vent it broke into pieces. It should be sturdier with better hooks that will securely hold to the air vent until removed. Additionally, larger holder is not needed for the Magellan 4700 because it will slide onto the actual air vent holder (without the holder, maybe the cost could have been close to half the price). I feel that have wasted my money--after having paid thirty dollars for it, I to pay for more parts then is needed, and the parts to the actual air vent holder are defective. The bracket that holds the hooks are not strong enough, it is too thin, and the hooks being too shallow do not hold securely. Then, to top it all off the air vent hold breaks into pieces.
