(More customer reviews)The Gomadic Flexible windshield holder is great for holding all my electronic devices. I've used it for my iPhone, iPod, my GPS. It easly adapts to fit most electronics. It slides and snaps into many different configurations. Also, my experience with the Gomadic staff has been superb.
Please keep in mind, though, if you are using the Archos 5 as a GPS, this holder or any other universal hold will not work. You need to buy the Archos "company" product in order for the GPS to work. It cost $125+.

Bracketron IPM-202BL Docking Cradle Mount for iPod and iPhone (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I'm giving this one 5 stars simply because I believe many of the other reviews here don't do the product justice. For 8 bucks this is one hell of an iCradle. I'll agree that the included directions are essentially useless. The crux of the problem is step 1 where they ask you to "Attach the two vent clips to the T-notch plate". Fortunately mine came with these parts already put together, so assembly was a cinch. Just make sure you're willing to sacrifice an air vent on your dash to mount it on.
Also, it did hold my iPhone 3GS (inside a plastic case) firmly, but not too firmly. There are three slots on either side of the "T-notch plate" to provide adjustable width, and a set of additional wings to accommodate a nano. The larger set of "wings" has an inner and an outer clip. I'm guessing the outer clips are for bulky older iPods; I didn't need them, and they were kind of getting in the way, so I took em off with a soldering iron (I'll post a pic).
Overall a smart buying decision. Just remember, there's [..] at stake here folks.

(More customer reviews)I was a little skeptical about how well this would work but it works like a dream for me. I see another person has had issue in warmer temperatures..I stuck it on my windshield today in 30 Degrees (f) and it hasn't fallen once. seems pretty sturdy so far. If the heat does turn out to be a problem I may have to jerry rig something by means of velcro or the like. But so far I love having comfortable access to my phone on my dash.

Love the idea of it, mounted it the first day and went for a leisurely stroll on the bike, but then the second day came...The bracket fastens to a plate with a raised notch that slides into the back of the bracket. And that's exactly what it does...it slides (does not lock) into place. After hitting a few bumps the bracket slid out of place and onto the pavement. Luckily, no damage was done to my beautiful new Droid smartphone. Then it happened again at a much higher speed with a dozen tumbles across the pavement and massive dents/dings in my shiny new Droid. Awesome! Nice product Rocketfish, maybe your engineers should have thought of a locking mechanism.
