(More customer reviews)Ok here is an expert review. I looked at speed in recalulating, speed in changing directions, voice and brightness. I give all a 4 to 5 rating.
1. The unit is slow recalulating, infact at times my GPS V was faster. Here is the trick. The memory(hd) is super large in this unit and all maps are install. All you have to do is go into the maps and uncheck the maps you do not need. I live on the east coast therefore I unchecked all westcoast, midwest and canada. Did speed test now unit is Twice as fast as my GPS V. Simple... When you need the other maps loaded just go in and check them.
Vocie is clear and loud. I am looking for a way to install into a fm modulator.
Screen is bright.
This unit is small and compact and works for me, I have a GPS 3plus, GPS V and now Quest 2 and use them all on diff. vehicles. and ATV. I recommed the Quest 2 over the 1 no need to carry a laptop anymore. Better then the Streetpilot and faster if you uncheck several unused maps.

The Quest 2's control pad has been designed to make it easy to make selections and switch between modes, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road. You can choose between a map view or a trip computer mode that provides a large speed display, odometer, stopped time, moving average, overall average, total time, max speed, and more. The Quest 2's route planner lets you save 50 routes and preview all the maneuvers you'll need to make on a given route. Plus, you can automatically sort multiple destinations to provide an efficient route for deliveries and sales calls. Or if you know where bad traffic exists, you can tell the device to avoid certain areas. And with the Quest 2's One-Button Home feature you can find the quickest route home no matter where you are.
Another time- and frustration-saving feature of the Quest 2 is the database of preloaded maps and points of interest. Gone are the days of uploading partial maps from your computer to your GPS device: the Quest 2 has them all built in. The unit comes preloaded with Garmin's highly detailed City Select NT street data of the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Finding points of interest along your route is made easy with the Quest 2's huge built-in database of nearly six million hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions. Garmin has also made it easy for users to upload custom points of interest via a PC, as well as up to 500 waypoints with names, categories, comments, and graphic symbols. Last but not least, the Quest 2 has 140 MB of extra storage space for uploading supplemental Garmin map products like U.S. Topo, U.S. Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots, and BlueChart.
